After the angel Gabriel announces to the shepherds the birth of Christ, they visit the stable and manger with the Christ child (Luke 2:8-20). In addition to Mary and Joseph, several angels are present, as well as the ox and donkey. The print has a Latin caption; it is part of a series on the life of Christ.
