The print depicts three moments in the life of the biblical figure Daniel. Bottom left, Daniel is trapped in the lion's den with seven lions. An angel brings the prophet Habakuk to the lion's den with food for Daniel. On the right, Daniel fights the dragon with arrow-like tongue, into whose opened maw he throws pitch cakes. Behind it, the temple and the idol of Bel are destroyed.
