The French medallist Ovide Yencesse was inspired for this art medal by a drawing by Eugène Carrière, who worked in a similar style. Both artists work with soft, subtle contours in their designs. The depiction of this kiss of peace has many similarities with the maternity drawings of Carrière. It depicts two figures, one kissing the other on the forehead. The reverse bears the inscription PRO PATRIA PER ORBIS CONCORDIAM.
