Georges-Marie Félizet was a renowned French surgeon and paediatrician. In the inns of the Latin Quarter, he befriended Gambetta, who had him undertake a dangerous mission during the 1870 war, which he finished with good results. He received this plaque from pupils and friends on the occasion of his 61st birthday. It shows his portrait on the front and on the reverse it refers to his profession: a woman with a baby on her arm waits at the entrance to the children's hospital.
