If we would take Rombouts' word for it, games mainly lead to deception and disagreement. Prove him wrong at the Thursday Late in April. Enjoy a unique board game night at MSK together with your friends and/or family!
Rombouts' characters are not the only ones allowed to play a game in the museum. Throughout the halls, surrounded by artworks, you take place at one of the tables. Take your own game(s) with you, or choose one of the board games provided by Spelgezel especially for this night.
You can book a table per group from 3 pm to 6 pm or 6 pm to 9 pm. Reserve a table using the form. The reservation is only valid after a personal confirmation by the museum staff. Don't forget to buy a museum ticket as well, or you will not be allowed to enter.
In the Hemicycle you can have a refreshing drink at the bar during or after playing.
Theodoor Rombouts. Virtuoso of Flemish Caravaggism
Get to know Theodoor Rombouts during an evening visit. Rombouts was an established figure in the Antwerp art world. But although his painting was appreciated during his short life, the Antwerp Baroque gods Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640) and Antony Van Dyck (1599-1641) pushed Rombouts' artistic legacy into relative obscurity after his early death. The exhibition reveals Rombouts' artistic personality and places his work in a new perspective.
