Het Overzicht was managed by Geert Pijnenburg, Michel Seuphor (pseudonym for Fernant Berckelaers) and Jozef Peeters. The magazine was conceived as being interdisciplinary: it covered painting and sculpture, architecture, literature, decorative art and music. Apart from this it also dealt with philosophical and social and political opinions. Peeters was responsible for the arts and propagated abstract art and Constructivism. Constructivist work by Belgian artists like Victor Servranckx, Karel Maes, Pierre-Louis Flouquet and Peeters himself was given ample coverage.
