Welcome to the most surprising evening of the year! On Thursday evening December 4 between 6 pm and 1 am you will discover art in all its forms. All participating Ghent museums are open for free that evening and present you a great program. Curious?
Room X
Enter The Staircase, not up or down, but to another universe. That of Paul Delvaux's magical realism. Room X isn't on the map and is hidden in the MSK's underground. Seek it out and you'll find it...
Silent Disco
During or after your visit to the museum, you dance into the night yourself with the silent disco, wandering among the masterpieces. Youth collective Schoonvolk! invites you to paint together on a giant paint by numbers, and those who prefer to take a breath will find a place in the bar to warm up and catch up.
Stephan Vanfleteren
Discover the exhibition Stephan Vanfleteren. Transcripts of a Sea, in which the photographer shows for the first time the fascination that has driven him to and in the sea for the past five years: from impressive daylight images to a hall entirely devoted to the silence and depth of the night sea.
Paint-by-numbers & Trompe-l'oeil
The youth collective Schoonvolk! invites you to join us for a giant paint-by-numbers session, and those who prefer to unwind can find a spot in the bar to warm up and catch up. Schoonvolk will also work with you to bring a masterpiece from the Museum of Fine Arts (MSK) to life: Trompe-l'oeil by Cornelis Norbertus Gijsbrechts.
