Two musicians were inspired by the work of Stephan Vanfleteren and the sea. They take babies, toddlers and their parents into a warm world full of music that touches, enchants and invites you to sing, play and move.
Performers: Jonas Malfliet (accordion) and Jozefien Derwuwen (vocals)
For: children from 4 months to 24 months
When: 10am-10am45 (children 4-24 months) and from 11am-11am45 (children from 2 to 4 years old)
Where: Entrance through the back of the museum - Hofbouwlaan 28, 9000 Ghent
Price: € 5 / child and €12 / adult.

- Strollers can be stored indoors next to the concert hall. There are toilets nearby (with care cushion).

When night falls, the sea becomes a magical place ... The moonlight dances on the water and everything looks a bit mysterious. Did you know that many artists were inspired by the sea? Together with museum guides Bieke and Saskia we will explore the museum. Then we make lighthouses with tin, cardboard, adhesive tape and a light in the children's workshop.
For whom: children aged 4-6 and their parent (s)
When: from 10:30 am to 12 noon, 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm or 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Price: € 5 per person (children + adults). (€ 1 Deferral to the Ghent region rate), to be paid in advance by bank transfer.
Do you like water, waves and boats? Together with museum guides Lenka and Lisa you will search for impressive seascapes in the museum halls. Then you draw a rowing boat, freighter or luxurious yacht yourself. In the studio you will discover a special printing technique with which you can sail your boat on a quiet sea or let it be braved in a raging storm.

Visit the exhibition Stephan Vanfleteren. Transcripts of a Sea and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the sea. During the course you will find beachcomber Aaron Fabrice de Kisangani in the hall, with a table with special finds that he collected during long walks along the coast. Talk, ask your questions and be amazed!
- For whom: for everyone. Recommended for families with children from 8 years old.
- When: Sunday November 16, 2025, 10 am-12pm and from 1 pm-4pm
