The statue, with its companion the 'Old Centaur' (inv. 2015-KX-2), were found in the gardens of Hadrians Villa in 1736 and are today in the Capitoline Museum. Both prints that Frezza executed after the two sculptures were dedicated to Giuseppe Alessandro Furetto.
