In the foreground is a somewhat elderly man, the personification of autumn. In his hands he holds the horn of plenty. In the background are autumn scenes: ploughing and sowing peasants, the grape harvest and the slaughter of cattle. Above in the sky, the three astrological signs of autumn are depicted: Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius. The print has a Latin caption and is part of a four-part series on the four seasons.
