In a mountain landscape, a river runs through the valley. On a path, Abraham and Isaac walk to the sacrificial site on top of a mountain. Isaac carries the wood for the fire on his back. On the upper right in the distance, the top of the mountain can be seen where the sacrifice is taking place. From heaven, the angel descends to stop Abraham from sacrificing his son Isaac. The print is part of a series of 13 landscapes with Biblical and mythological scenes.
