Ernest Van Dyck was one of the most famous Wagnerian tenors of his time. On the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of his first performance of Parsifal, Van Dyck was honored in Brussels in 1912 with a shrine containing a gilt silver, a silver, and a bronze copy of this medal.
