In 1902, a major international exhibition was organized in Amsterdam. Carel Joseph Begeer was commissioned to design a medal as a reward for the exhibitors. The obverse is a reproduction of a relief by the artist Pier Jacobs Pander featuring the portrait of Wilhelmina, which was also used for other medals. The reverse contains an inscription referring to the exhibition. The medal was issued on October 7, 1902.
