In 1910, Brussels hosted a World's Fair for the third time. The numismatic section was particularly important, as medal art was flourishing at the time. The "Comité Français des Expositions à l'Étranger" was responsible for the French section. As with every expo, they issued a plaque engraved by a French artist. In 1910, it was Ovide Yencesse’s turn, known for his impressionistic style. On the obverse, a woman is depicted seated on a throne in front of a church portal. The French Marianne, accompanied by a winged naked youth, presents her with a palm branch. On the ground to the right, the Belgian coat of arms is displayed. On the reverse, the French section of the World's Fair is shown, along with the Brussels coat of arms and several inscriptions.
